Developmental Editing
I specialize in working with commercial fiction across age ranges but have a particular passion for young adult titles and fantasy. I have a keen eye for detail while also being able to see the bigger picture. I work closely with my clients to ensure that their manuscripts tell a captivating story with poetic nd enthralling details. As a developmental editor, I work with authors who have both finished and unfinished manuscripts. We’ll start with a detailed outline process, then move forward in 1/4s, editing as we write, and ending with a final run-through.
Budget varies based on budget, word count, and genre, but generally is priced per project and is around $5000 (YA and older). (payment plans available).
Line Editing
As a line editor, I love working with writers to elevate their manuscript and infuse it with poetic language. I enjoy guiding writers in utilizing various descriptive techniques to help the reader be consumed by the story. Line edits also include a letter of overall feedback and basic proofing.
Line edits are also a great option for single poems and full poetry manuscripts.
While I enjoy working on many genres, I especially enjoy working with poetry, young adult fiction (all subgenres), and fantasy (all ages).
Cost varies based on budget, word count, and genre, but generally is around $.05 cents a word.

Plotting and Outline Coaching
Plotting and outline coaching is perfect for authors who have an overall story in mind, with key details and scenes, but who are struggling to tie it all together. If you’re not someone who generally outlines, this is a good service to help find missing elements before you get to the bulk of the writing process. We can work on small goals and milestones, or conquer the whole first draft. This is a very customized process so reaching out to set up a time to chat (free consultation) is best.
Cost varies based on budget, genre, and number of sessions, but generally a session will be about $150 for 2 hours.
